Dental Bonding

What is Dental Bonding?

Dental bonding is the process of applying a tooth-colored resin to your teeth to change the color, shape, or just to restore the tooth.

Dental bonding can be used in the following situations:

  • To repair teeth that have decay

  • To repair chips or cracks in your teeth

  • To improve the color of discolored teeth

  • To fill in gaps between teeth

  • To improve the shape of a tooth

The advantages of dental bonding are:

  • Minimally invasive and easy

  • Procedure is usually completed within 30 minutes to an hour per tooth

  • Requires one visit in our Milford dental office

  • Anesthesia is not required (unless bonding is used to fill a cavity)

  • Less expensive than other cosmetic dental procedures like veneers or crowns

  • No special care required other than good oral hygiene practices
